A two part pottery workshop
This workshop is split over two days. The first on Saturday the 17th of January 10am – 1pm, and the second, Saturday the 7th of February, 10am – 11:30am
Part 1
Saturday 17th January. 10.00-13.00
Participants will learn to model creatures, real or imagined, from clay.
You will learn to create texture to represent feathers or fur or scales.
Please bring photos of the creatures you’d like to make.
Part 2
Saturday 7th February. 10.00 -11.30
The creatures will have been fired and participants will decorate them by applying underglaze paint, metal oxides and glaze.
The creatures will then be taken away to be fired again.
They will then be returned to Walkerburn for collection.

- Materials provided: Clay and tools, decorating materials and firing are all included but participants are welcome to bring items for creating texture and their own tools.
- Requirements: Please bring pictures of creatures you’d like to make and / or your imagination
