Medieval Materials
A workshop exploring some of the artist materials and techniques used in medieval times. Participants will experience using and making authentic paints, pigments, inks and brushes following historical recipes and techniques. The day will include looking at some examples of how materials were used at the time such as frescos and in illuminated manuscripts.
Edward Campbell of Old Mill Arts
Edward is one half of Old Mill arts with Lucy. They are both practising artists who run an arts organisation together which offers a wide range of in person workshops exploring the making of art materials through a lens of creative cultural heritage and practical learning.
